Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate | MA, LPC-Associate
Hello, I’m Joelnika (Joy) Martin, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. Becki Welsh, LPCS, RPTS, and Meghan Lawson, LPCS. I’m a wife and mother of seven, and I bring both professional training and lived experience into my work. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and my master’s degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. My career began working with homeless youth and single mothers, which deeply shaped my heart for supporting individuals and families through difficult seasons.
I work with teens, young adults, couples, and women navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and spiritual concerns. I am trained in the Gottman Method (Levels I & II) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), equipping me to help clients strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, and build healthier relationships. I am also fluent in Spanish and welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
It would be a privilege to walk alongside you, offering a safe and supportive space as you pursue healing, growth, and meaningful change.
