Licensed Professional Counselor – Candidate
I returned to school at the age of 50 because I was looking for a way to support my community after my kids were grown and gone. I moved to Summit County with my husband and two large dogs in early May (2026) to be closer to my aging mother and fulfill a lifelong dream of living in the mountains. I love to read, travel, hike with the dogs, and hang out with friends and family.
I take a person-centered approach, emphasizing the therapeutic relationship and the importance of getting to know the client’s world from their point of view. I meet clients where they are with acceptance and support. I look for treatment modalities that are likely to be beneficial for the individual client. This includes CBT, ACT, and Gottman couples therapy. Instilling hope in clients is a priority for me. I believe that difficult times can provide an opportunity to change and grow in beautiful and unexpected ways.
